Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra is a branch of mathematics, studying linear equations (and linear maps) and their representations in vector spaces and through matrices.

  • Linear Functions: Linear means straight and a linear function is a straight line. each input in a linear function has an output and is defined as .
  • Linear Equation: It is an equation for a straight line.
  • Non-Linear Equations: It is an equation which does not create an straight line. It can not contain exponents or square roots.

Variable Types:

  • Scalar: a scalar is a single number. E.g. numbers 1, 2, and 3.14 are each an scalar.
  • Arrays: A list of scalars.
    • Singleton Matrix: A matrix with only one element, with the order of . E.g.
    • Matrix
    • Vector
    • Tensor
